I want to make sure each person that comes in contact with Atlanta Kick or AKCrossfit has a positive experience. I’ve experienced each of our programs as a participant, and it’s my mission to make sure everyone finds the awesome benefits that I did. Contact me anytime about any concerns, suggestions, or other feedback about Atlanta Kick, AK CrossFit or Operation Boot Camp. Much to my friends and family’s annoyance, I can talk forever about our businesses, or business in general. Additionally, if you’d like to hit or kick me, please show up to Karate Tuesday nights at 6:45pm.

My life’s work (so far) has been about helping people improve themselves physically and mentally. Because of my personal journey-starting karate in the mid 90s as an unfit, uncoordinated, lacking-confidence young woman- I will always have a special place in my heart for any fitness beginner, and hopefully this is demonstrated every day in our gym by making all newcomers feel like part of the family and never intimidated. When I’m not training for powerlifting meets at the gym I may be practicing Japanese Archery (Kyudo), helping to raise money for animals (with our own Powerlifting for Pups Meet!), or quietly meditating as I contemplate things like the nature of empathy, why my little dog Casper is so adorable, or why Morelli’s Salted Caramel ice cream is so damned tasty. I also enjoy occasionally wearing silly costumes while laughing and dancing with friends, sometimes even on video.

I’ve got twins that keep me motivated to stay in shape and on my toes and I pass that motivation and energy on to you when I teach Kettlebell, Kickboxing or CrossFit classes. Ask me about how to integrate your healthy foods into your family dinners, and how I met my husband, Mike, RIGHT HERE at Atlanta Kick! Variety is the name of my game-I strive to make every workout different. Come work out with me; I will help you reach your goals, while making you sweat and have fun.

Bryan Hampton – Head Instructor

Fitness and coaching is not a job to me.  It’s not a means to an end or a hobby. It’s my passion; it’s who I am. To me, the greatest gift in life is helping people. Being able to sit back at the end of the day and know that I helped someone take the next step to living a healthier, happier and stronger life is the most gratifying feeling in the world, and that’s why I am here. I know that every person learns and is motivated differently; it is my goal to help train  others with a purpose and a passion. I work to make my kettlebell, kickboxing, karate classes and personal training sessions something to look forward to knowing, that at the end you’ll be less stressed and more confident. I promise to make every workout challenging and exciting while educating you about wellness and fitness.

Geno Fearce – Instructor

I love seeing the confidence in my students that comes from accomplishing something physical-maybe something you didn’t think you could do before. Being a part of that magic is what’s kept me in the physical fitness industry since 1988. I began in the martial arts and continue to instruct all levels-from 3 year olds to adults. In addition to 4 types of martial arts, I instruct kickboxing, Capoeira, tumbling and personal training. I’m from California and my spare time is spent dj-ing so you can always count on a great soundtrack to our workouts.

Phillip Walker – Instructor

It’s never too late to find your passion. I’m 18 years and counting in karate. My joy is to watch students grow, doing things they once thought they could never do, learning how to take chances, to be confident and to get the most out of themselves. On my black belt test, an observer told a friend of mine that she remembered when I was a white belt and that at the time, she wouldn’t have bet a plug nickel on my chances to reach black belt. If I could do it, you can do it.

Dominic Romeo – Instructor

You’ll know I’m teaching Kids Karate because you’ll hear my enthusiastic instructions as soon as you open the gym door. Working at Atlanta Kick combines two of my favorite things: helping others and karate! I grew up right here at Atlanta Kick earning my first degree black belt and recently my second degree. You could say I love to accessorize-nunchucks, eskrima, kama, bo, ball and chain, and throwing stars-I’ve got experience with all of them and would love to help you ignite your passion for all that Karate has to offer.

Ryan Shelor – Instructor

My goal for classes I teach? Make sure you have fun and get a great workout. I enjoy being a bit ridiculous in my kickboxing classes but I make sure that no muscle is left behind or unworked. I recently earned my 2nd degree black belt. 4 topics I love to talk about: techniques, advanced movements, Dragon*Con costumes (always working on mine), my screenwriting projects and your goals!

Elaina Sanders – Instructor

After 20+ years training in classical ballet and yoga, I’ve found a new passion teaching kettlebell and kickboxing. My main goal for myself is to make sure my class is full of smiles and high fives and to transform my clients into formidable powerhouses who sweat confidence. I greatly enjoy using my knowledge to assist clients with stretching to increase flexibility and to prevent injury or even help those dealing with discomfort. I’m also currently working towards my black belt in American karate so I’m at the gym often, so if you see me walking around, feel free to ask me questions, I’m always happy to help.

Lynn McDaniel – Instructor

I live to work out and love how it makes me feel both physically and mentally. I feel stronger and more confident and I’m sure I’m a more pleasant person to be around when I’m working out regularly! That’s why I love to teach – to help create those same awesome feelings in others! I work hard to keep my workouts and classes fresh and always hope to hear “wow, that was hard but awesome!”

Christina Collandra – Instructor

I have a passion for circus arts, yoga and teaching! I’ve been hanging from the ceiling practicing aerial silks for over 2 years. You’ll find my classes welcoming, fun & exhausting – but, you know, in that good way that makes you feel proud of yourself. My classes focus on learning new skills and improving technique.  Come meet me on the mat and let’s hang!

Mike Borman – Instructor

I hail from a background of rigorous martial arts and boxing training. Having trained with top notch athletes, I use what I’ve learned to take your fitness and performance to the next level. By integrating functional, resistance and aerobic exercise, you will reach new heights of fitness and athleticism.

Nina Montgomery – Instructor

I have always been an active person, but very quickly became tired of the usual, repetitive work out you get a regular gym. With kickboxing, you get an amazing cardio work out as you pound your day’s frustrations out on the bag. As a nursing student at Georgia State, I value the importance of health and fitness in every day life. I plan my classes so that they are challenging, but definitely doable and fun. I incorporate new moves and sequences each week, so you never know what to expect and will receive maximum results. I love inspiring and encouraging clients through their workouts and witnessing positive changes in both their bodies and their confidence. Here at Atlanta Kick, we have some of the most genuine, approachable and knowledgeable instructors you will ever meet, so stop by and take a class today!

Marcela Durante – Instructor

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina but brought to the US by my parents at an early age. My passion for fitness began with running. I have run several half marathons as well as completed three full marathons in the last couple of years most recently the Marine Corps Marathon. Now a senior at Georgia State University majoring in Exercise Science and Human Wellness, I couldn’t imagine my life without fitness. I’ve always been curious and fascinated with the way one is able to transform our bodies and minds with exercise and proper diet. That being said, I am happy to be a part of the Atlanta Kick’s family and when taking my classes I will ensure you that we have fun while sweating to the vibrations of house/electro music.

Kawone Williams – Instructor

I am a fan of overcoming challenges. My classes will show you the walls in your physical ability so you can break through them, climb over them or go around them! Every success won’t look the same; come prepared to test yourself & leave proud. I am here to support you through the challenge! With each workout/training session with me you will get results.

Paola Rodriguez – Instructor

My love for fitness is only rivaled by my love for food – and maybe margaritas! I show up at the gym satisfied that I do what I love and I encourage all of my students to make every day a happy one, inside or outside of AK. My priorities are to encourage everyone to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle physically, mentally, and emotionally. Sometimes punching and kicking with all of your might helps you burn off some steam. Maybe swinging around some kettle bells for a sweat session will release some endorphins for you. Whatever the case, the Atlanta Kick team will help you achieve your goals. At the end of the night, we can also run over to Eclipse and grab a fresh mojito for dessert!

Ieisha Ashwood – Instructor

In life you have passions that your heart just cannot dismiss and mine are fashion and fitness. When you meet me, you can definitely tell that I take both extremely serious. As a trainer and instructor, I find solace in helping, watching and motivating my clients as well as members grow and work towards being better versions of themselves while reaching their fitness goals. What you can look forward to in one of my classes is high intensity, constant movement, a banging playlist along with FUN! FUN! and more FUN! I’m here to assist you to your greatness with every time you take my class or talk to me.

Whitney Jinks – Instructor

The best thing about kickboxing at Atlanta Kick? It’s the one place where you get praised for punching, kicking, being aggressive, yelling and totally letting loose! I first fell in love with kickboxing five years ago after searching for a workout that would get rid of the Freshman 15 (ok… 20) and haven’t looked back since. My goal is for you to walk away from each class feeling stronger, more confident and less stressed from a workout that you actually enjoy, too! By day, I’m a public relations professional and 24/7 #plantpowered vegetarian, Georgia Bulldog and over-the-top Falcons fan. Can’t wait to see you in class!

Dana Difurio – Instructor

Working out was never something I looked forward to. I’d quickly get tired of the same old routine, or I’d just try every type of class offered – cycling, barre, yogalates – you name it! All of that changed when I fell in love with kickboxing. I never dreaded a workout again, and I actually looked forward to getting all my energy out at the end of the day. That’s what I want everyone who takes my class to walk away with – feeling strong, accomplished and grateful for putting in the work! I’m also a social media marketer by day, so hit me up at @danadifurio on Instagram or Twitter!

Kelly Smyth – Instructor

Having grown up in Florida, I consider myself a professed water baby and have always managed to stay active (especially outdoors). Activity and working out has been an essential part of my routine from a very young age. I am excited to have the opportunity now to share that passion on the mat with my students. With a fitness background in competitive swimming and yoga, I strive to combine the core values from each of those in my class: mindful movement and strength. When you show up to my class, we will work hard and have fun to get the most out of our time together, and I’ll be there to encourage and support you along the way. Outside of the gym, you can find me hiking and camping up in the North Georgia mountains, on my yoga mat, or strolling the Beltline trying to pet every dog that walks by!

Katie Morgan – OBC Team Lead

I am a social worker which means my job is to help make the world a better place, and I bring that same skill set to helping YOU become the very best version of yourself. I get excited when people begin to focus less on the numbers on the scale and more on the life they can lead as they become increasingly fit and healthy. I am a big believer in celebrating every success and every holiday on the calendar, so you can look forward to lots of high fives and themed workouts that will have you so distracted you may in fact forget you are working out! Within the first 5 minutes of my first ever boot camp workout I managed to trip and face plant on concrete, so I can guarantee there is nothing you should feel embarrassed about, regardless of your fitness level, knowledge, or coordination. Today is the perfect day to start saying YES to becoming an even better you, and I’d love to be a part of the journey!

David Goetsch – OBC Team Lead

I’m an avid runner that discovered Operation Boot Camp and how it can help you push through the last part of any workout. I’m a bit nerdy but nice no matter what you scream at me. My joy is watching you change physically and mentally. Our workouts consist of the sparkle of exertion, the resulting soreness that feels so good and the team members that want you to return each morning for more. We believe there is a part of you that wants a little kick to get going. Once you are with our team you will discover it’s an opportunity to also meet other great people just like you.

Jessica Epstein – OBC Team Lead

As a former teacher and current stay at home mom, I’m great at bossing people around while smothering them with love at the same time. I love to cheer on campers almost as much as I love cheering on my Florida Gators. I loooooove food (one of the reasons I love boot camp!) and I’m always ready to share my new favorite recipes . I’ve been with OBC for almost 7 years now, so you know where to find me every weekday morning!
